A fantastic day at the FAI Primary Schools Tipperary Cup as our Red team secured an incredible 4-0 victory over John the Baptist to win the county final. The girls showed huge determination and teamwork throughout. A special mention to Ella in goals, stepping into the position for the first time and making some brilliant saves, backed up by a solid defence. There were great performances all around, with Leahnora and Kate each netting hat-tricks.
Our Navy team also put in a strong effort, finishing with 1 win, 1 draw and 2 losses. With several players only taking up football this year and playing their first matches, they should be very proud of their progress.
The Red team now look ahead to the Munster finals in Cahir Park AFC on May 6th, with a chance to reach the national final in the Aviva Stadium.

Our Junior Infants had an amazing Active School Week! 🌟
They enjoyed a variety of fun activities including yoga, tennis, and Zumba 🧘♀️🎾💃 It was a fantastic week filled with energy, laughter, and lots of smiles.
Both the children and teachers had a brilliant time— a week to remember! 😊
Huge congratulations to Helena and Ramona from Sixth Class in St. Mary’s on winning the Nenagh College Art Competition based on their musical Grease @nenaghcollege
It was such a pleasure to welcome the TY students and their teacher, who kindly came in to present the girls with their prizes and spend time chatting, asking and answering questions about their fantastic musical in February.
We absolutely loved watching their performance — such creativity, talent, and hard work went into it.
No better way to spend a rainy school morning celebrating Active Schools Week 💃 #ActiveSchool 5th class are loving their Zumba workshop
Bhí am iontach againn during Seachtain na Gaeilge this year, with great energy and spraoi throughout the school.
We enjoyed plenty of activities along the way, including running some fun competitions, celebrating our Gaeilgeoir na seachtaine, and marking a fantastic Lá Glas with a real sea of green all around the school.
We finished up with our Seachtain na Gaeilge assembly, where ranganna from junior infants right up to sixth class took to the stage and performed a variety of pieces as Gaeilge, including dancing, ceol, short dramas, poems and songs.
A special thank you to Adrian McIntyre from Conradh na Gaeilge who joined us for our assembly. It was wonderful to have him with us and to see organisations that promote the Irish language coming into our school community.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate our culture, make use of our cúpla focal, and most importantly, enjoy the Gaeilge together. Bhí sé go hiontach ar fad.

One week ago today, our wonderful 3rd class students from St. Mary’s took to the stage for their Peace Proms performance.
Congratulations to each and every one of them for the incredible effort, enthusiasm and confidence they showed. We are so proud of how well they performed and the way they represented their school. A huge thank you as well to their dedicated teachers and to everyone who helped and supported the students throughout the journey.
Peace Proms is always such a special experience, and this year was no exception. It was truly a memorable experience for everyone involved, filled with music, excitement and pride.
We feel incredibly lucky to be part of this amazing event every year. Well done again to all our fantastic students! 🎶👏

🚓👮♀️ A big thank you to Garda Maureen who visited our Junior Infant class today!
The children had a fantastic time learning all about what a Garda does and how they help keep our community safe. They discovered important things like what number to call if they ever need help from the Gardaí, and they were fascinated to learn about the many ways Gardaí travel — by car, bike, horse, boat and even helicopter! 🚗🚲🐎🚤🚁
Our curious Junior Infants had lots of wonderful questions, and Garda Maureen was so kind to answer them all. It was an exciting and educational visit that everyone really enjoyed.

Huge congratulations to our fantastic 6th class girls Holly, Andreea, and Liliana on their amazing success today at the Analog Devices Robotics Competition semifinals at Limerick Racecourse! Representing St. Mary’s Primary School, the girls have successfully qualified for the finals next month at the Analog Devices Headquarters, where they will proudly represent the school once again.
Throughout the competition they showcased excellent teamwork, presented their brilliant “Unearthed” project, and demonstrated fantastic coding skills and problem-solving while building and programming their EV3 robots. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, creativity, and determination.

Representing St. Mary’s Primary School, the girls will be presenting their brilliant Unearthed project, where they explored the fascinating world of archaeology and discovered how advances in technology are helping archaeologists uncover the past.
On the day, they will also be building and programming EV3 robots as part of the competition. We are incredibly proud of all the hard work, curiosity, and teamwork that has brought them this far.

♟️Today our Chess Team competed in the Ficheall tournament hosted by our neighbours in Gaelscoil Nenagh.
♟️From the start they showed focus, determination and sportsmanship in each round.
♟️We were delighted to see many of our pupils finish right up at the top table in both the Buds and Masters, competing confidently against some strong and competitive players. It was fantastic to see their hard work and practice paying off - thank you to Colm and Mr. Shanahan for all the training and guidance 👏👏
♟️We returned to school not only with excellent results both in the Buds and Masters competition, but with a real sense of pride. It was a brilliant day for all involved and it is fantastic to see such a strong interest in chess in our school. Well done team! ❤️💙

A huge thank you to Margaret, who brought stories to life with a brilliant selection of exciting and engaging books. From start to finish, there were smiles, laughter, and lots of wide-eyed wonder as the children listened to each new adventure. 🌟📖
The children had great fun bringing in their favourite book and teddy bear also. They were very excited to share them with their classmates. We spent time reading many different stories together and talking about our favourite parts. It was a lovely opportunity for the children to practise listening, sharing, and enjoying books with their friends.
It’s safe to say we all had the best time and left feeling inspired to read even more! 💛

We celebrated Valentine’s Day by creating beautiful art and baking delicious fairy cakes. The children did a fantastic job mixing, decorating and icing their cakes, lots of smiles (and sprinkles!) all around 🧁
We also took part in our Green Schools Day of Action, exploring sustainable travel and learning how small changes can make a big difference. The class loved completing their activities and showing their wonderful work.

Senior infants are having great fun in our new dance class 🕺💃
Our Junior Infants marked their 100th day of school in the most adorable way today! 🎉 They transformed into fabulous grannies and grandads complete with wigs, grey hair, glasses, walking sticks and lots of personality! 👓🥸
We even went on a special visit to some older classes where our mini grandparents were reunited with their family members — so many smiles and laughs along the way! ❤️👵🏼👴🏼
